this is from the archives has I’m putting the finishing touches to the photographic exhibition spaces and sorting the pr out, and getting the photographers and including myself sorted out for it ,

This photograph was taken in a restaurant in Paris as the father was reading a story to his daughter at they table , I used the table to rest the camera on and set the speed to 1/15 sec at F 2.8 and has I had a 35 mm lens on used the little red on the lens and turned it back a faction ….

I was a passenger in a car going through a little French village and as we turn a corner I saw a man walking down the street with a cat, the cat went straight to the middle of the road and looked like it was ready to take on the car, the guy only looked only a little worried about it, must be used to the cat taking on cars at random, so just put my camera up to the car window screen and took a couple of shots and this was one of them, if I’m driving around I have my camera pre set and focused, around 125 sec F8 and just back a bit from the infinite , the red dot on the front of the lens,… and in case you’re wondering the cat moved out the way and lived to annoy someone else

couple of photograph I took as I wonder round the place i was staying at when i had man flu, the first is an old dry leaf and a daisy on a plastic table outside using the natural light ,the second is the light coming through a window on to a sofa . used the lasso around the end of the sofa then inverse it and turn it b/w and added a bit of colour to it , …

took these pictures in a little town called Brantome in the Aquitaine plateau, Dordogne france , i have two version of the first picture of the young couple walking over the bridge ,in the other photograph they are a bit further along the bridge and really couldn’t decide which one i like best ,but in the end went for this one , the other photograph is of two people eating sunday lunch by the river in Brantome , first day out  after having man flu and it was nice a warm and the light was nice and even ..

well back from France after a fortnight, where I pick up a bug and didn’t get out much , I like to think thing I had man flu which is a very nasty bug to get , but was told it was the common cold, got out for a couple of days to enjoy the french countryside and meet some very friendly french people and enjoy some good food , took a few pictures on the way down first is off Dover waiting to get on the ferry , and then a couple as a dog decided it was safer to walk in the middle of the road in front off the car , and people watching it, did some still life as i walked around coughing and moaned around where i was staying (man flu) …

a couple of picture’s from inside Cathedrale  Notre Dame de Paris , I’m not a great photographer of buildings ,no matter how hard I try to, so I really admire people who can photograph them and make them look amazing , but I do love working in low light and very rarely se flash , so I took these inside the Cathedrale because of the light and movement of people , it’s a great place to visit but you should try the Notre Dame cathedral in St Omer just north of Paris …
